After we planned our Halloween meeting, it got cancelled a few weeks before. But we already had the costumes, the energy, and the motivation (as always).
As usual, the spontaneous vibes of the Berlin community — and the general atmosphere of my favourite city, that I can now call home (in part thanks to this sport and the amazing people who became a big support for me as a traveler and migrant) — made us reorganize and take our Halloween Highline Party to another HIGH level.
Instead of a more urban spot with short lines, we went to the forest — our lovely Tropical Highline. With two lines of around 300 meters (which is now kind of our basic standard 😅) we were, literally, high!
Even some of the more “beginner” ones managed to walk them. The quality of the humans and athletes in this community is truly HIGH.
The quickness and flow to rig and set up everything for our own playground was amazing. The smell of the wet forest, the surprising amount of sunshine for this season, and the warmth of the safe setup were the main characters of the day.
The funniest thing for me — besides the costumes XD — was that one of the lines was made from different webbings combined together. So basically, it was a Frankenstein line, or should I say… FRANKENSLINE! XDXD
The spontaneity and motivation were so strong that some of the group even decided to come back the next day.
